Food fraud
Eliminate the opportunity for fraud across the food system with transparent, secure, digitized records of each vessel’s history.
Reduce waste
Eliminate unnecessary financial loss or dumped product from missing, incomplete, or incorrect records.
There is a critical hole in the food transportation system
Currently food safety stops at the plant door. Records for how long a vessel has been in service, its washes, its type and amount of insurance, and the products it has hauled have only been tracked on paper, vessel by vessel.
Now is the time
There is no accurate, industry-wide, secure means to record trailer wash or commodity transport history for operators, carriers, or shippers/receivers. Vessey provides this solution.
Most tracking and tracing is done manually and subject to human error, or even alteration and falsification.
Some partners have created proprietary, siloed solutions, but they are limited to their operations and inaccessible to the broader market.
Leading the way
There is no easy Go / No-Go gauge for the critical moment when trailers arrive at a facility: how can I verify the trailer build, history, insurance, certifications, etc.? Vessey answers these questions.
Additionally, the FDA has instituted new traceability rules that will require food manufacturers to implement rigorous, standardized paperless records, like Vessey.
